According to reports, Apple will introduce its next iPhone around the middle of September.
The iPhone 15 looks to be ready for release by Apple next month. According to a story from Bloomberg, the company's upcoming iPhone will go on sale around September 22 after being presented at an occasion scheduled for either September 12 or September 13.Given that Apple often has its events on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, this would be consistent with previous iPhone launch events. While the iPhone 13 event took place on Tuesday, September 13, 2021, the iPhone 14 announcement took place on Wednesday, September 7, of last year. The third week of September is normally when iPhones are released, which is a week and a half after they are announced.
Following up on the initial rumor, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman tweeted on Tuesday that "signs are increasingly pointing to Sept. 12 as the iPhone 15 event date," but he cautioned that things might still change.
As it prepares to introduce its most recent iPhone, Apple is up against considerable opposition. In its results call last week, the tech giant admitted a decline in the US smartphone market. Sales of the iPhone 14 decreased 2.4% in Apple's third fiscal quarter, which concluded on July 31.
Although they trail Apple in terms of market share, phone manufacturers like Samsung and Motorola have made progress by producing models with dramatically different designs. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 develops a folding phone/tablet hybrid, while the Motorola Razr Plus and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 revive the look of the vintage flip phone for contemporary smartphones. Consumers seem to like Samsung's folding phones because they sell nearly as well as its nonfolding counterparts.
Apple has not yet made a folding phone available and doesn't seem to have any imminent intentions to. Since the iPhone's introduction in 2007, Apple's phone designs have generally maintained the same shape.
